Happy New Year
So 2012 is done and dusted, we all survived the end of the world. This morning as I was the first one up, I sat and contemplated what I would like to see for myself in 2013. Already changes are afoot as we will be moving to Auckland, where Geoff has been offered a secondment for 2 years. Whether we will stay there that long remains to be seen as there will be other opportunities coming up early this year. All that said, it means quite a change for me as I qualified late 2012 as a personal trainer and wanted to start my own business. This will not be a given now with our somewhat transient ideas. I may need to work in a gym (not my ideal)
Today we went for a walk on a walkway that has been in Tauranga for quite a few years. We have never walked it before, it is in another part of town, but where we live is not that big so really it is not that far from us, maybe 15 minutes drive. I thought about the fact of how when you are about to leave a place where you live and move to a new town, you always seem to start doing things you could have been doing for years, but never did. It’s as if you rediscover your city. Perhaps we get too comfortable in our space, don’t want to branch out and be a bit adventurous, get stuck. Well now I have no excuse, I have to get adventurous, I will not be here in my comfortable space for much longer. My aim is to step out of my comfort zone and not to take myself too seriously.
So as we start 2013, I wish you all an adventurous and prosperous year, filled with fun and laughter.
